Contraindicated in cases of deficiency of the Spleen and Stomach, phlegm-cold, or phlegm-dampness. According to some traditional sources, this herb is incompatible with Wu Tou (aconite main root), antagonizes Gan Jiang (dried ginger), and counteracts Niu Xi (twotoothed achyranthes root).
