Stevia Extract (non-alcohol)

PRIMARY USES: Flavoring agent, Sweetener, Sugar replacement and Non-Glycemic sweetener

INGREDIENTS: Stevia Leaf Extract (Stevia rebaudiana), Deionized Water, Vegetable Glycerin.

STANDARDIZATION: 300 mg per ml of Stevia standardized to 90% Steviosides (the sweet part)

SERVING SIZE: 38.5 mg./ml. (5 drops)

INDICATIONS: Stevia is used where a sweetening agent is desired without the calories or blood sugar effect. Stevia is 100 times sweeter than sucrose at 10% sucrose concentration. Stevia has no calories. It is great in a low carb diet. Stevia does not affect blood sugar (no glycemic index) and is safe for those with blood sugar swings, hypoglycemia, hyperglycemia and diabetes. It is added to beverages and other foods to taste. It is an extremely sweet herb, so it should be added slowly until the desired amount of sweetness is achieved. Stevia is safe for children.

Stevia can be used with bitter herbal tea and tincture blends to help cover the bitter taste of the other herbs. It is also added to coffee and other beverages.

CAUTIONS: Stevia has the legal classification of a dietary supplement, which will legally regulate this in ways that limit how it can be discussed. Stevia cannot be sold as a food additive as this use is illegal. It cannot be mentioned for use as a sweetener, sugar replacement or flavor enhancement item. It can only be discussed in the market place as a dietary supplement. There are no other contraindications.

DOSAGE: Add 2-8 drops as needed. Adjust amount and supplement as needed.

TASTE: Sweet with a slightly bitter after taste for some.
