Ingredient Explanation:
Co-Enzyme Q10 (50mg/capsule): CoQ10 is an essential component of the mitochondria where it plays a major role in energy production. Even though CoQ10 can be synthesized within the body, deficiency states are common. With age, the level of CoQ10 declines and this is in part responsible for the age-related deterioration of the immune system. The heart is very susceptible to the effects of CoQ10 deficiency. Also, cardiovascular diseases such as mitral valve prolapse, CHF (congestive heart failure), etc. require increased tissue levels of CoQ10.
Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) is a powerful antioxidant that protects the body from free radicals and helps preserve vitamin E, the major antioxidant of cell membranes and blood cholesterol. CoQ10 is also called ubiquinone, a name that signifies its ubiquitous (widespread) distribution in the human body. The body to transform food into the energy on which the body runs, ATP, uses CoQ10.
CoQ10 supplementation has been investigated as a way to improve physical endurance because of its effect on energy production. Healing of periodontal tissue (the gums of the mouth) may require increased energy production; therefore, researchers have explored the effects of CoQ10 supplementation in people with periodontal disease, which has been linked to CoQ10 deficiency. CoQ10 is found primarily in fish and meat, but the amounts in food are far less than what can be obtained from supplements.
Coenzyme Q10 has been used as supplement in connection with the following conditions: Angina, High blood pressure, Cardiomyopathy, Congestive heart failure, Diabetes, Gingivitis (periodontal disease), Halitosis (gum disease), Heart attack.

Alpha-Lipoic acid (ALA): It is a vitamin-like antioxidant which body only makes a small amount, also referred to as the universal antioxidant. Because it is soluble in both fat and water. ALA is capable of regenerating several other antioxidants back to their active states, including vitamin C, vitamin E, glutathione and coenzyme Q10.
Alpha lipoic acid has several potential benefits for people with diabetes. It enhances glucose uptake in type II (non-insulin-dependent) diabetes, inhibits glycosylation, and has been used to improve diabetic nerve damage and reduce pain associated with that nerve damage.
Preliminary evidence indicates that 150 mg of alpha lipoic acid, taken daily for one month, improves visual function in people with glaucoma. ALA has been shown to inhibit the replication of the HIV virus in the test tube.
Intravenous administration of alpha lipoic acid has significantly increased the survival rate of people who have eaten poisonous mushrooms. It shows its strong ability to protect the Liver function.

VITAMIN C in ASCORBYL PALMITATE (100mg/capsule): VITAMIN C in ASCORBYL PALMITATE ester form is fat-soluble and it is more stable than VITAMIN C Ascorbic Acid, which is water-soluble. Because of this, it will not be flushed out of the body like the water-soluble supplements. In comparison to the water-soluble Ascorbic Acid, ASCORBYL PALMITATE¡¦s solubility in fats or lipid makes it a more effective antioxidant in the prevention of lipid per-oxidation and it stays in the body for a longer period of time. It supports and protects blood vessels, bones, joints, organs and muscles. It forms skin, bones, tendons, ligaments, cartilage, teeth and cornea of the eyes, and it acts as a protective barrier against infections and diseases, and promotes the healing of wounds, fractures and bruises.

Vitamin E (Natural Form, D-Alpha Tocopherol, 100 IU/capsule): Vitamin E is the antioxidant that offers the greatest protection against heart disease because of its ability to be easily incorporated into the LDL-cholesterol molecule and prevent free-radical damage. Vitamin E provides significant additional protection against heart disease and strokes by reducing LDL-cholesterol peroxidation with an improvement in plasma LDL breakdown; therefore inhibiting excessive platelet aggregation, increasing HDL cholesterol levels (the good cholesterol) and increasing the breakdown of fibrin (a clot forming protein).

Grape seed Extract (95% OPC, 80mg/Cap.): The grape seed extract contains the Proanthocyanidins-also called 'OPCs' for oligomeric procyanidins or 'PCOs' for procyanidolic oligomers-They are a class of nutrients belonging to the flavonoid family. Proanthocyanidins have antioxidant activity and they play a role in the stabilization of collagen and maintenance of elastin-two critical proteins in connective tissue that support organs, joints, blood vessels, and muscle. Proanthocyanidins have been used in connection with the following conditions: Chronic venous insufficiency, Capillary fragility, Retinopathy, Varicose Veins.

Folic Acid (100mcg/capsule): A deficiency in Vitamin B12 and/or Folic Acid results in significantly reduced white blood cell production and abnormal white blood cell responses. Folic Acid deficiency (the most common vitamin deficiency in the US) has been shown to result in atrophy of the thymus and lymph nodes and significantly impaired white blood cell (WBC) function.

Vitamin B 12 (10mcg/capsule): Vitamin B12 is needed for normal nerve cell activity, DNA replication, and production of the mood-affecting substance SAMe (S-adenosyl-L-methionine). Vitamin B12 acts with folic acid and vitamin B6 to control homocysteine levels. An excess of homocysteine is associated with an increased risk of heart disease, stroke, and potentially other diseases such as osteoporosis and Alzheimer¡¦s disease.

GREEN TEA EXTRACT(35mg/capsule): Recent studies in rodents and cell culture demonstrate that green tea polyphenols are extraordinarily versatile in their antimutagenic and anti-carcinogenic efficacy. Green tea polyphenols have been shown to inhibit the activity of potential carcinogens including nitrosamines, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, and heterocyclic aromatic amines. Especially ECCG (Epigallocatechin Gallate) has been shown to be responsible for the antimutagenic, anti-proliferative and antineoplastic properties.

DMAE (2-dimethylaminoethanol, 40 mg/capsule): This is a substance that enhances memory and is used in drugs that stabilize cell membranes. The deterioration of cell membranes is considered to be one of the main reason of aging. Although DMAE is a precursor of choline and acetylcholine, it has been shown to cross the blood-brain barrier faster than choline. It is the choline inside cells that is converted to phosphatidylcholine which is used in the building and repair of cell membranes, especially in the brain.

Resveratrol is a phytoalexin produced naturally by several plants when under attack by pathogens such as bacteria or fungi. Resveratrol has also been produced by chemical synthesis, and is sold as a nutritional supplement derived primarily from Japanese knotweed. Perhaps the most notable producer of resveratrol is the grapevine, which produces large amounts of resveratrol in the skins of grapes to protect against fungal diseases and sun damage.
Recent studies have concluded that:
* Adding resveratrol to the diet of yeast, fruit flies, worms, and a species of fish increased their life spans up to 70%, 29%, 24%, & 50% respectively.
* Resveratrol made fat related deaths drop 31% in obese mice. The resveratrol fed obese mice also performed much better in movement and agility tests than obese mice not fed resveratrol.
* Mice fed resveratrol had 100% more endurance than mice not fed resveratrol (i.e. they were able to run twice as far on a treadmill).
* Resveratrol inhibits blood platelet aggregation that can lead to dangerous clots that can cause heart attacks and strokes.
* Resveratrol is a powerful antioxidant that can help prevent cell damage caused by free radicals (free radicals are unstable atoms caused in part by pollution, sunlight, and our bodies natural burning of fat that can lead to cancer, aging, and brain degeneration)
* Resveratrol has been proven to fight cancer in vitro at all three stages; (1) initiation, (2) promotion, (&) progression.
