Action and Indication: This formula nourishes the Kidneys; subdues the hyperactivity of Liver Yang; aids in the opening of the apertures of the ears. It is very effective in replenishing Deficiency of both the Liver Yin and Kidneys Yin. It is used to help a person with hearing difficulty due to Kidneys Yin Deficiency and is also widely used for hearing loss due to old age. Related symptoms are: ear ringing; hearing difficulty; loss of hearing; vertigo; irritability; insomnia; blurred vision; dry mouth; red eyes. Tongue is usually red. Pulse is usually thin and rapid. Contraindication: It is not for a person who has a cold or flu; fever; loose stools.
